Re: INSURANCE

Im not there yet, i was thinking somtime towards August - September time of year this year, me and a couple mates are going most likely Edmonton, but we could still end up anywhere. There is the most real work in Edmonton, but if we feel like backpacking and doing barwork/casual jobs we could go annywhere

Re: INSURANCE

Hey Philman,

Not sure exactly what you mean - do you mean the best travel insurance?

If it's travel insurance, we did a fair bit of looking around before we recommended World Nomads travel insurance here on CanAussie - there's more info in that article if you want it: http://canaussie.com/articles/work-perm … -insurance

Hope that helps,

J

Re: INSURANCE

Thanks Jared, Im a little confused, this is a link i got with my letter of introduction and it states.
Q: What type of insurance must I buy before leaving for Canada?
A: IEC requires you to buy and maintain health-care insurance (covering medical care, hospitalization and repatriation) for the entire duration of your stay in Canada. We recommend that you buy this insurance only after you have received your Letter of Introduction, confirming that your IEC application was successful.

You may be refused entry if you do not have insurance. If your insurance policy is valid for less than 24 months, you may be issued a work permit that expires at the same time as your insurance.

Which are the best options???
Thanks smile

Re: INSURANCE

Do you have medical insurance in australia? The company you are with now may give you a cheaper option.

Re: INSURANCE

I was wondering with that World Nomads insurance, I need to get it as I will be crossing the border to get my next visa soon and need to have proof of insurance, but just wondering has anyone tried to get a refund with them on insurance and how did it go? I will probably buy over a years insurance just in case they need to see it at the border but I don't want to keep it once I get my visa as I have the local BC MSP.....anyone done the refund with and did it go smoothly with them?

Thanks!
