Hello, not from Austrailia but thought this would be a good place to get some advice on a destination for summer work.

Basically myself and 3 friends are aiming to come from Ireland (aged 22/23), early may for 10-12 weeks to work a summer season but we're torn between city vs resort town.


Was told about option of Banff, and its something ive definitely warmed to, but friends are still unconvinced and think vancouver would be better.


What would people advise?

Obviously good nightlife/party vibe is very important - (friends werent convinced banff had enough bars/clubs)

Job market - Ease of getting a good servers job - Feel this is quite important to fund travelling west coast US at the end

Things to do during day - (Friends were worried Banff is too small and we'd end up bored if we were there for 11/12 weeks)

Weather

Any help anyone could provide would be much appreciated. Basically im all for banff, but friends need more convincing on its party-credentials
