Risks involved with changing employer on sponsored visa

Is anyone in Canada on a sponsored work visa? Just curious how easy it would be to work for a different employer (ie: not my sponsor) and how likely it is to get caught??

Here's my deal: I got sponsored by the employer I worked for on my WHV but they have decided to shut down their business, thus I no longer have a job or a "legal" working visa..

I don't even know what the actual visa looks like, as I'm in US on a "vay kay" (as they say), gonna cross the line in the snow next week.

What are the odds of getting caught working for a different company, it's probably only Revenue Canada who looks into who/ what/ where pays you right??

I dunno, I'd prefer to do it legally but I can't sit around for 6+ weeks waiting for a new company to apply for an LMO then apply for a new visa...

Any advice much appreciated!
