I shot them an e-mail yesterday when I found out. I will wait to hear back before I do anything.
There is a way around it. You can go to.. somewhere. idk. And get an official letter stating that you do not hold a license. My hiccup was I did in fact hold one for that period, and only that period. I'm actually still going to Canada for a few months, but as a lazy tourist for a while. Before I fly out I will camp the aussie version of a DMV (200km's away) and try to get something official that states those years were infact the only years. Fingers crossed.

Oh, and my application was denied for a second reason. My traffic history was not 'authentic' aka whoever sent it to me forgot to sign and date it. It's funny how life changing plans can fail because one person somewhere forgot to sign a piece of paper.

No response yet. What bugs me the most is that I am in Tully, QLD and the closest department of transport is in Townsville. I've decided I'm still going to head over to Canada, but as a lazy tourist for a few months. I had an apartment lined up already, and a few friends who wanted to see me. I figure I'll get something that will satisfy them and mail off the re-application then go over as a tourist until the paperwork is settled (Or 3 months, whichever comes first) then fly out to London for a week and come back with the visa. It'll give me a chance to see my brother in Nova Scotia. He got a WHP a few years ago and wound up becoming a permanent resident.
I don't remember off the top of my head but I think it was only if you had lived in Queensland or W.A that you needed the traffic history. But if you do need one I suggest going in to see someone face to face. That way you're not just a name on a form and you can ask then to give you an official document stating that you never help an open license.

Hey guys. Just thought I'd fill you in so far.

I did get a reply to my e-mail (And a phone call) which explained the problem in more detail. It was partly my fault (Requesting a 'current' period as opposed to a 10 year) and partly their fault (Unsigned) so today I took the paperwork into a courthouse and waited there for them to fax me through a new traffic History. Properly signed and dated.

Now the question is. Do I fill out the rest of the paperwork all over again or just replace my new traffic history with the old one and sent that application back in? I think I will call them tomorrow just to make sure.

How did you end up going with your application? I have received my first email saying they are processing mine, i was curious as to if you had received that email and then they sent back your paperwork, or was it returned to you before that stage. Hope all is well.

well i haven't been accepted yet, just past the first step as well, so it would appear our paper work is in the same pile my friend, just got my first email this morning. Fingers crossed for quick processing for us both. Hopefully we both hear the good news soon.

we submitted ours only 2 wks ago so either they are quiet at the moment or they are speeding through the apllications! either way we got it first go!! So hopefully you'll get urs any day too!

Got my email saying that i was accepted    Hope you get yours soon too tel.  I have only received one email though, thought i was supposed to get two? I got the one with a PDF saying Ive been accepted and to enter by said date etc.   But im guessing thats the important one anyways.

I got it! I had the same e-mail. A cover letter telling me to look at the attached document which I assume is my LOI, it's just not called that.

Congrats Brett! Do you know where you'll be heading? When my brother got his he went to Nova Scotia, but I can't get over how awesome Vancouver is.
