Denied entry into Canada after DUI 3 years ago

Hey all,

Just a heads up that a mate got denied a tourist visa to get into Canada and turned around at the airport because he had a DUI 3 years ago in Australia.

It seems that his DUI was in their system, and they pulled him aside at the last moment.

Theoretically they said that they could do this with a DUI up to 10 years old, maybe older.

So be careful folks!

Heya,

Something similar happened to a mate of mine, when she was doing the forms online, when she got to those questions they told here she wasn't eligible because of her DUI... for her case, 5 years needed to have passed for it to be cleared from her record sad
