This site is as an information resource for Australians, and anyone else who is intending on using a similar program, who want to come to Canada on the Working Holiday Permit (WHP), as well as to provide a community gathering spot for those already in Canada.

If this is your first time on CanAussie, make sure you check out some of the articles we have here. Best place to start is the Quick Reference Guide, which will give you a run down on the first articles you should be looking at, then look into the items you should bring with you, then check out the rest of the articles, there's a bunch of them, so do your research and check them all out!

ANZAC Day 2011

If you're in Canada and want to attend an ANZAC day ceremony (as you should!) on the 25th, you're in luck as they do quite a few ceremonies across the country. In the following link is details for ceremonies in Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto and Halifax.

We've got a new article up! This one is all about how to claim back all the cash that the Canadian government owes you from overpaid taxes. Interesting fact of the day is that you can claim tax back for up to four years after you paid the taxes, so even if you have already left the country, read the article!
